Spektrum Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Ravi Venkatraman MD to its Board of Advisors
January 5, 2023 – Dr. Venkatraman is a highly respected physician and healthcare leader with over three decades of experience in the industry. He received his medical degree from the Post Graduate Institute for Medical Education & Research (PGIMER) India and completed his residency at SUNY – Brooklyn. He is a board-certified anesthesiologist with sub-specialty certification in pain management and holds a Master’s in Health Administration from George Washington University.
Throughout his career, Dr. Venkatraman has held numerous leadership roles in healthcare organizations, including serving as Chief Medical Officer working with several major hospitals. He has also been the Chairman/Director of the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Management at various institutions in New York and New Jersey, including Bergen Regional Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Barnet Hospital.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Venkatraman is also an entrepreneur and has set up multiple ambulatory surgery centers in New Jersey, of which the most successful business enterprise provided quality care to over 25,000 patients before being acquired by a private consortium of ASC’s.
He is a co-founder of healthcare technology companies and has developed the CCHIT certified electronic medical record “Medics Doc Assistant” for pain management, as well as pioneering the use of voice recognition in electronic medical record systems to enhance efficiency in patient care.
In his new role on the Board of Advisors, Dr. Venkataraman will bring valuable insights and expertise to Spektrum Capital as the company continues to focus on the Healthcare and Pharma sectors. His extensive knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we continue to provide top-quality investment banking services to our clients.
