Dr. Delverlon Hall selected as Top Psychotherapist of the Year by IAOTP
Dr. Delverlon Hall EDD, LCSW, award winning Psychotherapist, was just recently selected as Top Psychotherapist of the Year for 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With almost two decades of experience in the industry, Dr. Hall has certainly proven herself as an expert in her field. As a dynamic, results driven leader, Dr. Hall is a licensed NYS Clinical Social Worker, trained in Psychoanalysis, specializing in Couple and Individual Psychotherapy. Her work focuses on building a stronger sense of self and confidence in order to improve overall functioning. She has 12 years of experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma. She has experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, identity formation, difficulty forming and maintaining meaningful relationships and life transitions as well as experience working with individuals challenged by trauma (post-traumatic stress, sexual abuse, chronic medical illness). She is a certified couple therapist who works with couples to help improve communication in the relationship as a way to improve the health of the relationship and to ultimately help the couple feel closer to one another. In addition, Dr. Hall is an adjunct professor at New York University Silver School of Social Work and the Director for the Couple Therapy Training Program at the Training Institute for Mental Health. She has a group practice in New York City and Princeton New Jersey.
Dr. Hall’s areas of expertise include but are not limited to curriculum development, program development, public speaking, research, clinical and field supervision, teaching, program facilitation, and community outreach.
Before embarking on her career path, Dr. Hall, earned her Masters of Social Work from New York University’s School of Social Work and her Doctorate of Education in Health Education and Behavioral Studies from Teachers College, Columbia University. She also earned a certification in Couples Counseling from The Training Institute for Mental Health as well as a Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy Certification.
Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Hall has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year she will be considered for the Empowered Woman Award and to be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine. She will be honored at IAOTP’s annual awards gala at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville next December for her selection as Top Psychotherapist of the Year.
In addition to her successful career, Delverlon is interested in the following causes: Animal Welfare, Children, Civil Rights and Social Action, Economic Empowerment, Education, Environment, Health, Human Rights, Disaster and Humanitarian Relief, Politics, Poverty Alleviation, Science and Technology, and Social Services. Delverlon also wants to create a foundation that works to address trauma in underserved communities by providing mental health services.

Through her perseverance, work ethic, and the mentors she has had along the way she has created the life she wanted. When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. In the future, she hopes to inspire and influence new clinicians in the field and to also inspire people to heal and reach for their dreams.
