Sharina Perry, Founder, Inventor of Utopia Plastix, and Chief Executive Officer of the Utopia Model Companies, was recently selected as Top Sustainable Strategies & Circular Economics Expert of the Year 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP)
These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. Sharina, the founder and inventor of Utopia Plastix, has developed a plant-based alternative to petroleum-based polymers. She is highly respected for her innovative thinking, strategic mindset, and ability to think outside the box. Sharina also received the 2021 Vanguard Award and 2022 Visionary Award. She has also been acknowledged as a Most Influential Young Professional and included in the Oklahoma Power List of Innovative Women. Furthermore, the Teachers Appreciation Foundation has honored her with a Supreme Excellence Dignitary Award. She has been featured in various press articles, including Forbes, Woman’s Day Magazine, International Business Times, D Magazine, Brainz Magazine, 405 Business, The Journal Record, The Oklahoman, Edmond Business, and The New Tri-State Defender. Sharina is a Rotarian, member of Women’s Professional Organization has been chosen as one of the twenty minorities by the Governor and Secretary of Commerce to advocate for the interests of minority businesses in Oklahoma. Sharina is a STEM and Workforce Development committee member in the OKC Innovation District. Sharina is a founding board member of the Black Women Business Owners of America organization.
